“I never would have realised what I’d missed out on” Dominique reflected, “if I hadn’t done photography”.
Distance education allowed Dominique the opportunity to study, while juggling the challenges of farm work and 2 kids. Modules such as Landscape and People Photography were highlights for Dominique, as they enabled her to really sharpen her skills in her prime area of interest.
“My tutor gave advice on setting up a photography business and things like marketing”, says Dominique. “She was excellent. It made a big difference”.
After finishing the course, Dominique felt she had the skills and knowledge to set up on her own. The result is Balancing Rock Photography, a small business focussing on weddings, family and baby photos. Dominique currently divides her time between her farm in Western Victoria, and her photography business.
Dominique completed her Certificate in Photography at ACS Distance Education.
