CARDIORESPIRATORY HEALTH AND PERFORMANCE BSC301

Investigate the biological processes that drive breathing, gas exchange and blood flow in the human body. This course builds on the student's existing general biology knowledge, exploring anatomical, physiological and biochemical processes that drive cardiovascular and respiratory function.   Prerequisite: Human Anatomy & Physiology BSC101 or equivalent.



FITNESS (PERSONAL) VRE103

This highly practical course helps you to understand what fitness really is, and enables you to develop a balanced fitness program for yourself or for people around you covering topics such as the human body, principals of exercise programming, and weight control.



FITNESS RISK MANAGEMENT VRE104

This course explores human wellness as well as fitness with emphasis on common back and wieght problems. Covers elements such as understanding, recognising, and addressing back problems as well as weight control methods.



HEALTH & FITNESS I BRE101 (FITNESS LEADERSHIP)

Develops an understanding of the fitness industry, and skills to explain exercise and its importance to human health. An accredited advanced diploma module and a component of the Fitness Leaders Certificate
This course covers all of the theory contained within a fitness leaders certificate. Prerequisites: A first aid certificate (eg. St Johns) & an understanding of human biology (eg. Human Biology 1A).



HEALTH & FITNESS II BRE201 (FITNESS PROGRAM MANAGEMENT)

This course develops skills to manage fitness oriented services as well as covering fitness program managment such as fitness testing, exercise programming, and presciption. Prerequisites are either Health and Fitness I or a recognized fitness leaders certificate.



HEALTH & FITNESS III BRE301 (FITNESS EVALUATION & MANAGEMENT)

This course in fitness evaluation and managment develops skills in analysis, evaluation, and consequential management of health and fitness characteristics for a specific individual. Builds on Health and Fitness I and II.

Play is where children learn; in fact, they learn more about life from play than from anywhere else (including school)
Playleadership is a unique and rewarding profession.
It is better established in some countries than others; and as such, play leaders may not always be paid as well as they should be (depending upon where you are); but this is irrespective of location and renumeration, a job that is very important..
This is a valuable course for anyone working, or wishing to work with children.
Our staff have experience training play leaders since the late 1970s.

Become a Life Coach

At some point in their lives, everybody seeks advice from friends, family or professionals to help them make decisions or decide how to handle a particular situation or event. The life coach makes available the kind of consistent assistance and support that may be lacking in a person’s life or difficult to obtain when consulting family or friends who may have quite different perspectives.

A life coach can become a confidante, helping the client determine what is important, identify their strengths and weaknesses, and ascertain where they want to be in six months, a year, ten years. Life coaching involves assisting the client set personal and professional goals and establishing a workable strategy to attain them within a given time frame. For clients, a life coach can provide a life-changing experience, an invaluable opportunity to take control over their lives and fulfil their dreams.

Life Coach or Personal Trainer?

The lines between these two jobs can sometimes be blurred. A personal trainer tends to focus on physical health and wellbeing. The Life Coach is concerned with this as well, but usually a lot more (mental, financial and other aspects too). The best personal trainers however should also be competent life coaches; and vice versa.

Life coaching can help people in many different aspects of their life, from physical and emotional wellbeing to career success and financial management. This course will prepare you to offer life-coaching services to others, or to support yourself through personal change.

This Certificate course is ideal for those with a basic understanding of health, fitness or psychology or with knowledge or experience in such practical areas as business, fitness, financial management, and who want to help others define and achieve practical goals.

Qualification -CHILD DEVELOPMENT CERTIFICATE VRE002

Develop skills and knowledge relevant to child development. This course provides useful training for anyone wishing to work with children in a range of different situations. This course equips you with a greater understanding of how children think and develop; and a range of skills and ideas that can be applied to interacting with kids, to facilitate better development, particularly through play experiences. Graduates will have improved career and job prospects to work in areas from child care to play leadership; or even in businesses, organisations and companies that develop or supply products or services to children (eg. toy shops, toy libraries, leisure centres, playgrounds, playground equipment or toy manufacturers, etc).

Become more than an "Average" Fitness Leader.

 

This course develops your ability to prepare and deliver basic fitness programs, based on a solid understanding of the body's energy and movements. The core theory will develop a high standard of essential knowledge and competency while the specialty modules contextualise and expand on key skills in chosen areas. 

 




Qualification -FITNESS LEADERS CERTIFICATE VRE004

This is a very solid foundation for a career as a fitness instructor, life coach or personal trainer.

This course focuses on teaching the theory and practical skills needed to work successfully in the fitness field. It was developed by fitness leaders with experience in different countries, so it is globally relevant and can be adapted to any fitness context.  It is is aimed at students who wish to work as fitness leaders in gymnasiums, health clubs, etc. Students should check with potential employers prior to enrolling as to their qualification/registration requirements.


This course has been developed to incorporate everything that you will find in Fitness curriculum  from both Australia and the UK; and also everything you find in the Human Biology IA course (Which is a core study in the Pre Med Diploma and the Foundation Dip. in Natural Health).

 

If you want "accreditation"; it is possible to gain significant credit for these studies toward accredited qualifications elsewhere with either this school or one of our affiliates.

RESISTANCE & GYM SUPERVISION BRE206

This course is a basic for anyone wanting to into fitness instruction. Some of the elements covered include types of resistance training, equipment and applications as well as developing training methods. Students normally need access to a gym for the practical component (special arrangements can nbe made if you have access to weights at home).

This course can be used for professional development or to enhance career and job opportunities in industries such as health, fitness and sport. People find employment in many different capacities in these industries (eg. as a practitioner, advisor, leader, marketer, manufacturer, supplier), and with an improved understanding of how to build, develop and sustain muscular health, you will make yourself more competent at work and more valuable to clients or employers.

This course/module will develop your skills and understanding of psychological principles for use in sports. The curriculum covers motivation, team dynamics as well as psychological traits of successful athletes.
