LEISURE FACILITY MANAGEMENT I BRE205

This comprehensive introductory course focuses on the management and development of recreational facilities as well as enhancing your ability to plan, develop, and advise on facilities for a range of recreation and fitness activities.

This course can be taken on its own or as part of a Certificate or higher level course.




LEISURE FACILITY MANAGEMENT II BRE306

Learn to manage the maintenance and design of recreation facilities and equipment, including swimming pools, sportsgrounds, and recreation buildings.

Develop and expand the skills and knowledge gained in Leisure Facility Management 1 to better manage all types of leisure facilities.




LEISURE INDUSTRIES MANAGEMENT - HUMAN RESOURCES BRE104

Develops management strategies for human resources in a recreation or fitness service, or facility. People are a key resource for any business. This course develops an understanding of important human resource issues such as work schedules, developing a team approach, team performace, staff recruitment, evaluating staff performance, and communication between staff. Builds on Leisure Management I, but can stand alone.



LEISURE MANAGEMENT - FINANCIAL & CLERICAL BRE204

Develop management strategies for clerical and financial operations in a recreation or fitness environment. Keeping accurate and efficient financial records is paramount for successful business. During this course you will learn to develop strategies for manageing clerical and financial aspects for a recreation facility or service.  The course covers financial records, budgets, legal reporting, liasing, managing documents, forming a resource library, and using informaiton technology.



LEISURE MANAGEMENT - POLICIES & PROCEDURES BRE305

This course enables you to develop management policy, procedural, and planning aspects of a recreation oriented service or facility.

It covers policy development and management, meeting operational procedures, planning process managment, meeting and conference management as well as supervising reports.




LEISURE MARKETING BRE103

During this course you will learn to develop strategies to market recreation facilities or services.  The course shows you how to do things such as: Develop marketing and promotions to maintain or increase business; Manage the delivery of a service to ensure customer satisfaction; Monitor a membership database to ensure return business and Manage complaints.



Qualification -ADVANCED CERTIFICATE IN APPLED MANAGEMENT -RECREATION VBS001

This Advanced Certificate is designed to develop skills required to work in or manage recreation facilities or services, for example Community centres, youth services, sporting clubs, tourist parks, camp grounds, municipal recreation services, supervised childrens playgrounds and social clubs.

This is a good starting point for a career which might lead to a position in management.

This course provides a management oriented training for people wanting to work in the health and fitness or recreation industries in a technical or management capacity. Graduates will have a broad understanding of human health together with specialised skills that will be developed through your choice of elective units.



Qualification -CERTIFICATE IN RECREATION VRE001

This certificate provides a solid grounding in skills needed to work in leadership or management in recreation or related fields (e.g. In recreation centres, fitness centres, camps, youth work, parks management, cultural and church organizations, handicapped groups, etc).



RECREATION LEADERSHIP VRE100

This is an excellent starting point for anyone wishing to work in a face to face situation, conducting recreation programs, or one to work as a recreation or youth leader in a child care setting or vacational program. Recreation leadership skills are also required in people who run activities for tourist groups, adventure seekers or fitness groups in a local gym or fitness centre.
