This course lays the foundation for a long term career in an industry that is rapidly changing, always exciting and challenging; but can be difficult to thrive in if you don't have the right mix of skills.

Despite the ups and downs of the tourism industry throughout recent years; this remains one of the most significant industries globally. Opportunities have always existed for people with appropriate skills and a little entrepreneurial flair; even in the low times. This course provides a mix of learning that is designed to make a difference; coupled together with an opportunity to be trained and mentored by some highly successful and qualified tutors.

There are shorter and less focused courses offered elsewhere; but for a long term future in this industry, a longer and more solid training is always going to give you a better prospects.

Tourism is a huge employer worldwide and in many countries it is the largest employer. In short, this is a significant industry that employs large numbers of people. Despite this fact; many of those who work in tourism, are relatively low paid.

If you aspire to a well paid and secure job in tourism; you either need to think about self employment (starting your own tourism business), or developing skills that will enable you to rise to a position of responsibility in a larger organisation such as a hotel, resort or theme park.

This course provides the skills and knowledge needed to build a career, following either of these pathways.
